I could have produced a cleaner hole simply by kicking my foot through the door. We have also had raccoon problems. They raided the cat food cabinet which sits above the cat food (and rifled through my wallet). I should mention that we have an electronic cat door that requires that the cats wear a small magnet. To get in the raccoons needed to rip the cat door out of the door. We heard that playing talk radio will keep the raccoons away, so we leave a small radio by the door to discourage them.
